NIKITA STUPIN

Born in Moscow, Russia, and raised in Toronto, Canada.

After many years of studying the history of religious cults and the symbolism of the Middle Ages (PhD in History of Religions), Nikita has traveled extensively throughout Europe in search of answers to eternal questions as a religious scholar. A writer and columnist for several historical magazines, Nikita is a true repository of knowledge about Portuguese and Iberian history like you've never encountered before. Currently, Nikita serves as an advisor on symbolism and Medieval culture for several Lisbon museums, institutions, historical landmarks, and UNESCO Heritage sites across Portugal.

"I was never content with tour guides. I always wanted more than what is typically available - to go behind the curtain, to experience full immersion in tourism. But I could never find it, so I decided to create it, and Uncommon Tours was born."

BEYOND TOURISM

Professionally engaged in the art of street photography for more than 10 years, following in the traditions of the great Henri Cartier Bresson. Nikita is a former ambassador of Fujifilm and RICOH. He is the founder of the world-famous street photography studio "Moustaches & Glasses." He also serves as a teacher at the Department of Photography at the Institute for Humanitarian Education and Information Technology. He is a highly-published ghostwriter and columnist in leading photography magazines such as "Rosfoto" (Russia), "EYE-Photo Magazine" (USA), EYESIGHT Magazine, and Street Photography Magazine.
